I think it is only manipulation if he forces prices down by selling off mass quantities and then buying again at a lower price. If all he is doing is buying then there is not much harm.
It can be dangerous for one person to own a huge chunk of monacoin but it all depends on the persons intentions. Hopefully goldmona sachs has good intentions.

There are no downsides to PoS + multipool for the coin that is using it.
The only bad side is if all coins switch to PoS + multipool then the remaining coins that stay PoW are just going to be mined and dumped.
A coins value is brought upon because of the community + network hashrate. PoS coins are mainly just speculation.
